Two best friends, a whole lot of pets, and one very big idea.
Baytail Co started with us, Zoe and Skylar. Two longtime friends who knew pet care could feel more personal, more thoughtful, and a lot more like the kind of care we’d want for our own pets.
What started as an idea quickly became something much bigger: a growing Annapolis pet-care community built around trust, familiar faces, happy pets, and doing the little things really well.
HOW BAYTAIL BEGAN
Baytail Co started with two best friends, a lifelong love for animals, and a simple idea: create the kind of pet care we’d want for our own.
After years of friendship and plenty of conversations about what came next, we launched Baytail in Annapolis in September 2025.
Since then, we’ve grown around the same belief we started with: the little things matter. Familiar faces, personal care, thoughtful updates, and taking the time to truly know each pet.
At its core, Baytail is still two best friends building the kind of pet care we wanted to see in our own community.

Skylar Martin

Hi, i'm Skylar and i'm from Annapolis, Maryland! I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, animals have been a part of my life since birth. Caring for them has never just been a responsibility; it’s been one of my greatest joys.
Today, I share my home with Jax, my sweet rescue pup. He’s a daily reminder of why I’m so passionate about what I do: every animal deserves love, patience, and a happy life.

Today, I share my home with two wonderful cats, Moxie and Polo, and I grew up with my beloved dog, Birdie, who sparked my passion for caring for animals. Beyond pet care, I also love photography, especially capturing the unique personalities of pets through the lens. Caring for pets isn’t just a job for me, it’s truly a passion.

Q. Are you insured?
A: Yes! We are fully insured.
Q. Do you charge extra for multiple pets?
A: No, Baytail Co does not charge additional per-pet fees. Our pricing is designed to be simple and transparent, so there are no extra charges just because you have more than one pet. We'll always help you choose the visit length that best fits your household's needs.
Q. Do you board pets?
Overnight CareA: No, we do not board pets. Instead of boarding, we provide in-home care by staying in your home so your pet can remain comfortable in their familiar environment. This helps reduce stress, keeps their routine consistent, and allows them to receive personalized, one-on-one care while you’re away. Click the button below to learn more about our Overnight Care!
Q. Do you offer membership plans?
A: We don’t offer traditional memberships, but we do offer weekly recurring discounts for both Dog Walks and Pet Check-Ins. Book 2–3 visits per week and save 10%, or 4+ visits per week and save 15%, plus priority booking and more consistent visit times.

Q. Do I need to schedule a consultation before booking?
Schedule a ConsultationA: Yes! All new clients are required to complete an in-person consultation before their first service. This gives us the opportunity to meet you and your pet, learn about their unique needs and routines, and ensure we're the right fit. It's an important first step in providing the personalized, attentive care your pet deserves!

Q. Will I receive updates during my pet's visits?
A: Absolutely! After each completed visit, you'll receive a personalized update through the Time To Pet app, including photos and details about your pet's care.
Q. How will you access my home?
Home Access PolicyA: For security and convenience, Baytail Co does not collect or retain physical house keys. Clients are responsible for providing a secure, reliable method of entry, such as a lockbox, smart lock, or approved keyless entry system. Access instructions are securely documented in your client profile so our team can access your home safely during scheduled visits.
